Booking Terms and Conditions – Lights Candy Action –(LCA)

Hirer = Customer
A non-refundable booking fee of £100 is required to secure your booking. The full balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to your event. We accept payment by means of paypal / bank transfer or cash, cheques are not accepted.
Cancellations results in loss of booking fee made at the time of booking. If for any unforeseen reason LCA were to cancel the booking any payment made will be fully refunded, including booking fee. LCA reserve the right to cancel at any time.
LCA reserves the right to update the hire prices at any time. However we will not increase your price once your booking fee has been paid.
All goods for hire remain the property of Lights Candy Action (LCA). Prices quoted are for one day hire. Subsequent days will be charged at a daily rate unless a special agreement has been arranged prior to the event between LCA and the Hirer. Please note that collection of hire items will usually take place the following day – should the Hirer or Venue require us to collect prior to this time there may be an additional cost.
Dance Floors & Electrical Items
If you have booked a Dance Floor: We will happily advise on the best size dance floor for your chosen venue if we have prior experience of supplying there. However, speak to your venue coordinator as changes may not be able to be made on the day. In addition, if your venue has any other special instructions (ie requires underlay or a very specific size) then this is the responsibility of the customer and the Venue to notify LCA of this in advance as additional costs may apply and in the situation where LCA have not been given adequate time to accommodate LCA cannot be held liable in any circumstance.
Please Note: that liquids / glassware of all descriptions should not be taken onto the dance floor this is to protect the floor and to mitigate risk of injury to patrons whom chose to remove footwear whilst they spend their time on the floor, LCA will not be liable for any injuries that occur following the above being ignored.
For all items that require power, we can advise on power consumption if required – if any electrical items stops working during use, we will offer a refund proportional to the original hire price (unless failure is deemed to be due to power source, wilful damage or failure to follow instruction).
Whilst we do our best to absorb any costs for breakages/missing items, please be aware that the Hirer is liable for any excessive damage or loss. Any excessive damages/loss or damage/loss resulting from abnormal usage / acts of violence will be charged at full cost of replacement (including VAT & delivery). LCA shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, abnormal usage conditions, acts of violence failure to follow our instruction (whether verbal or in writing)
Booking fees are non-refundable and are required so that we can secure your date / reserve selected items and make available for your required date. Final balance is required no later than 14 days prior to the event. After final payment has been made, no refund can be given. If payment is not received we will make reasonable attempts to get in contact to remind you of the balance. Thereafter, we will assume that our services are no longer required and we reserve the right to re-hire any products.
Please be aware that cancelations within 1 month of the event date are liable for payment in full.
*Candy Cart Hire
LCA cannot be deemed liable should any guests at your function take allergic reactions to; sweets/cakes/biscuits provided at your event. Should any of your guests have a nut allergy or similar please notify us and we can try our very best to provide alternatives for such guests. If an alternative cannot be provided it is customer’s responsibility to notify their guests.
Children should be supervised at all times. LCA staff cannot be held responsible if a child chokes on any of the items provided at this event.
Our free delivery will be provided to all hires over the value of £50 within a 10 mile radius of FK5 4HY.
Additional charges will be added to cover equipment hire out with this area this will be communicated once we have the venue address.
Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure there is suitable space for the hired items at the venue, and that access to the venue is available along with suitable time being arranged prior to the event starting, to allow for equipment set up LCA will advise accordingly on large bookings.
If placing an order and following the payment of the booking fee for hiring products from LCA you are deemed to have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions.
